One of the big problems with the color black being your whole attire is the fact that there truly are so many different colors of black. In this case I had jeans that after a couple washes looked more like a dark blue than black. Of course some of the inspiration for this came from the Dudley Do-right movie. That’s some funny stuff.

Truthfully, I haven’t stopped looking for a job since, well before starting this one. I mentioned my search one day to Jonathan and he shared my disappointment that I’d be losing my muse. Over the years I’ve had several friends looking for jobs that have applied for the company I work for, thankfully so far only one of them has gotten a job there. It’s not so much as I don’t want to work with my friends so much as I really wouldn’t wish this job on anyone, and as such only recommend this job to my friends who are absolutely desparate. Poor pay. Bad hours. Minimal, if any, benefits. One thing I’ve noticed working here is that people seem oblivious as to how much I make doing this. There is about 1 person a month who will come in and seems to believe that no employee that works at a minute mart/gas station could possibly make less than $10 an hour. I’ve come to the conclusion that the individuals who think this generally live in the nicer part of town near where I work, and hence, are pretty well off. With this in mind I’ve also come to the conclusion that the well to do of Alabama Hill either were born with a silver spoon in their mouths or worked hard for the money they have. Therefore they can only be naive about the plight of lower class America, or assholes.
