The party last night was spectacular. More friends showed up than I expected, in all there were about 20 of us. My fiancé Michele baked a beautiful 3 layer cake and decorated it with plastic skulls on skewers. The “snacks” she prepared ended up being a meal unto themselves. All in all I’d say it was probably the best birthday I’ve ever had.
Today has been significantly less productive than I was hoping for. I was hoping to get up, drop Michele at work and spend the day moving my stuff over and cleaning up from the party. I got miniscule cleaning done but overall it was a very lazy Sunday.
Co comix today. Bad Eric. No cookie.
I’ve got a couple comics done, I just haven’t taken the time to scan them adjust them and upload them yet. Hopefully I’ll be able to today sometime, as it is I’m attempting to shuffle my apartment around.
I live in a studio apartment and have come to the conclusion that the current layout, while it’s pretty open and leaves the exact same amount of open space as any other layout I could come up with, isn’t the best one for me. Part of the problem is that my apartment building is old and settling. The altitude in the SE corner is lower than any other point from what I can tell. That said, I’ve found I wake up congested and I’m wondering if it’s partially due to me sleeping with my head downhill.
I’m going to move stuff around and clean up today and tonight. I figure I have about 8 hours to do this.
I should quit procrastinating.
I’m supposed to be at work in 31 minutes, so naturally I’m sitting at the Black Drop preparing to consume a gourmet apple beverage. I’ve decided not to go into work today. I’ve decided I’m sick of work today and do not wish to go. So I’m not. I’ll probably go tomorrow. But that has not been confirmed yet. So here I sit, rather out of place in my work shirt, not going to work.
Somehow I’m happier for it.
I’m sometimes amazed that I still have a job. I’m the worst employee ever.
No comic today… or for a while.
