Simon is young so he brings a youthful exuberance to game, sometimes too much exuberance. In our D&D game he plays a human ranger with a seeming complete lack of fear or common sense. His character has that same personnality video game characters might have in that idea of if I die I’ll just start at the last save point. It’s led to more than one entertaining fiasco during the game† and as such we tollerate his antics.
†Simon’s character once attacked a large metal mass set in the middle of a poppy field. The mass turned out to be a large metal Golem. The party had to convince the golem to trade Simon for poppies they’d just picked.
