Sunday with nothing else to do I decided to make cookies. It was the first time in about 10 years that I’ve made cookies from scratch. It was the first time ever I’d made oatmeal chocolate chip cookies from scratch. I ended up with significantly more than I was originally shooting for so I decided to take a dozen down to the Black Drop when I got there yesterday.
Since then I’ve been informed that my cookies “bring all the girls to the yard” at least 3 times.
Apparently I make some damn fine cookies.

Yes this happens. To me more than once. It’s unpleasant and degrading and humiliating. It makes you feel 1 inch tall. But in retrospect, at least it gave me an insight as to how ugly they truly are. Beyond that I have nothing else to say on the subject.
She really did come in and give me her number. She even asked me to call her. It was a little weird. She flirted with me and I recognized it as such. That doesn’t happen. It really did confuse me. But I did call her.
One of these days I’ll realize it when a woman is available and there is mutual interest, and on that day the seventh seal shall be opened and there will be silence in heaven for the space of half an hour.
*sigh* I really wish I was better with the whole names/faces thing. As it is, yes I forgot Stephanie’s name. In my defense though, she left the Black Drop to work at a “better” job. I honestly didn’t expect to have regular interaction with her anymore. Not that I intentionally forgot her name, I just didn’t expect her to be more than a cameo in the Black Drop movie of my life.
