So once again the comic is running late, too bad. Sunday’s comic was to be special as it related directly to Pi Day. I guess I’ll just wind up backdating it to 03/14/2010.

EDIT: Low and behold, after drawing this I found out that the final episode of Numb3rs aired 2 days previous. Sad. I liked that show.

I started reviewing the past comics and how they’re loaded into the system and realized that several of the images are missing. This had been mentioned to me before but I hadn’t had the opportunity to double check it.

One month later

It’s been a month since I last updated a comic. The last month hasn’t exactly been intentional, just a severe lack of time and space. I’ve been gong over possible solutions to this problem, and while I have no solution as yet, it is being worked on. I’m hoping to have something available for upload on Sunday, not only something new, but also a collaborative piece of sorts. I guess we’ll see.

In other news Monday was my first wedding anniversary, we ended up going to a nice hotel and being to exhausted to do much of anything, just like our wedding night. Ironic I think. Just too little time to relax, I may have a solution, now to see if I can get the cash.

So another week goes by and no comic. Plenty of inspiration but no time to draw with all that’s been going on. Taking supplies to work. Maybe I can draw one there.

You may have noticed that there is no comic today. I don’t have one done today due to a critical video card failure. It’ll be a few days before I get my laptop back.

Comicing and Time

I have difficulties getting my ideas into comic form fast enough often times. It means that I have a veritable backlog of ideas that were pertinent 6 months ago that would make no sense now. I think I may have a fix for this though. As much as I don’t want to do a cut & paste sort of comic I realize that it may be foolish to not use the tools available to me. If all goes well then this should work well and you may never know that it’s cut & paste. I think it may also be time to update the look of my site. I’m liking the look of the iWeb Comic Book layout. I think I may use that as a basis.

Simon was begging me to be put in a comic. I told him he wasn’t old enough but he wouldn’t believe me. He’s in there so I guess I was wrong.

The missing ix.

Co comix today. Bad Eric. No cookie.

I’ve got a couple comics done, I just haven’t taken the time to scan them adjust them and upload them yet. Hopefully I’ll be able to today sometime, as it is I’m attempting to shuffle my apartment around.

I live in a studio apartment and have come to the conclusion that the current layout, while it’s pretty open and leaves the exact same amount of open space as any other layout I could come up with, isn’t the best one for me. Part of the problem is that my apartment building is old and settling. The altitude in the SE corner is lower than any other point from what I can tell. That said, I’ve found I wake up congested and I’m wondering if it’s partially due to me sleeping with my head downhill.

I’m going to move stuff around and clean up today and tonight. I figure I have about 8 hours to do this.

I should quit procrastinating.

Daunting…

Okay, this comic is so much more daunting that I was hoping it would be. Fortunately I’m within site of the end. If my math is right it’s gonna be a doozie for all y’all on dial-up. Current measurements are 8″ x 44″ and about 300 dpi. The file right now is about 120MB. My estimate is that the finished web file will be 720px x 3960px and about 2.7MB. The current estimate is 7 minutes for dial-up. For those of you that read the comic through the feed (i.e. – LiveJournal) I’m only going to link the comic location not the actual image. That’s right. You’re gonna have to click on a link. Sorry.

Anyhow, I’ve spent about 16 hours on it so far. I’m so ready to go back to something relatively normal.

I’m figuring that by now you all have noticed the lack of comic for yesterday. Truth be told I haven’t even started it. I’ve just been too busy with other stuff. I’m painting a mural, working on album art for Strait A Students (it’s coming guys), working on art for the October BS of Comics show, trying to prep the stuff forBellCon 2007, looking for a new form of employment, and trying to keep up with my comic, all while working full time at Yorky’s. It’s a lot to do.
