Bellingham is a college town, there’s very little industry, and there’s a urban legend about a curse that says if you leave Bellingham you’re doomed to return. With the number of people I know who have left and returned, I’m almost inclined to believe it.

Cartoonists-A-Plenty

The vast majority of cartoonists in Bellingham have degrees in, or at least have worked in, graphic design. I think it’s partially because there are about 100 designers for every design job in the county.
